Hardships and struggles and pain will lead to joy. However, it’s hard to trust in the midst of hardships that everything will work out. God doesn’t promise an easy life. In fact, Jesus says we will be hated because of His name. Jesus faced many difficulties in His life. As He was about to be handed over, He asked the Father, if possible, let the cup pass but if it be the will of the Father, let it be done. Even Jesus in the face of hardship and pain didn’t want to go through it. He was fully human. Therefore, He understands human emotions. Jesus shows us that it’s ok to ask for pain and suffering to pass, but we have to trust God has something great in store for us when he doesn’t stop it. Everything works for his good.
