The Lord knows everything about us. Why do we try to hide from Him? Before Eve ate the apple, we didn’t hide from Him. We lived in the Garden of Eden with Him.

Why is life difficult? Without rain the plants wouldn’t grow. If a cocoon of a butterfly opens before its wings are developed, they have to struggle to get out to allow their wings to finish developing in order to fly.

God doesn’t need us but wants us. The bread and wine we offer is from the earth but requires us to do work to make it. God gives us the supplies and we make the finished product. Then the priest has to consecrate the bread and wine in order for it to become the body and blood of Jesus.

Fire and water are both good and bad. In nature, water cleanses and helps plants grow but also floods and destroys. Fire clears debris but also destroys forests. We use fire for light, warmth, and cooking. We can also use it to destroy. We use water to cleanse and cook and drink. We can also use it to drown. Whether water and fire are good or bad depends on our intent.

We cannot deny who we are for God made us. He doesn’t make mistakes. If we deny who we are, we deny His plan for us.
